On 9 of February 2012 officially reported that Greek Bulk Carrier under Liberian flag MV FREE GOODNESS has been hijacked 520 nm from Yemeni island Socotra and currently is moving towards Somalia.

Precise time of hijack was 2 before confirmation – 7 of February at 3PM UTC at 16.03N - 62.26E. The number of pirates is undefined whereas there are 21 seafarers, Filipinos by origin. Route of the ship was from Egyptian port Adabiya to Singapore.
