| Oman: Italian tanker has been hijacked by pirates |

27-th of December 2011at Omani waters, MT ENRICO LEVOLI has been hijacked. Vessel was transporting caustic sodium from United Arab Emirats port - Fujairah. Pirate act took place 215 Nm from Salalah harbor at 17,35'N 56,52'E. Current direction of the ship is not known.Crew consists of 18 people - six Italians, five Ukrainians and seve Indians. Ship belongs to Italian company Marnavi of Naples. Captain has already reported attack to Italian coast guard. According to his message there are no casualties at the beginning of pirate incident. During the attack, ship was going to meet Chinese convoy. The same vessel has already been attacked in 2006. Beside MT ENRICO LEVOLI, there have been hijacked two more ROSALIA D’AMATO and SAVINA CAYLYN. Ransom for them was 17mln$.
