MS&S in fight against piracy

Maritime Safety & Security is engaged in fight against maritime piracy and in various ways

We are training captains and crew members on how to prepare and how to act in case of pirate attack. Participants of our courses are learning how to behave and survive in long-lasting hostage situation. Captains and officers are gaining knowledge on how to defend and command a crew in high stress situations and how to minimize a potential loss. Our lecturers are experienced captains as Capt. Marek Niski, who was commanding a largest hijacked so far ship – VLCC “ Sirrius star”, retired officers of special forces and psychologist experienced in dealing with hostage situations and post traumatic stress disorder. We provide an professional advice in matters of planning a route, preparing a unit, crew and ship-owners’ employees for work in high risk areas  to limit a possibility and consequences of terrorist or pirate attack.


We also provide a physical protection for ships. Our employees are recruited among ex servicemen of Polish special naval unit – FORMOZA and antiterrorist squads of Polish police. Professionalism of our operators is a guarantee of safety for your ship, facility, crew and cargo.

Our psychologist provides a support for families of crew members held hostage and helps in dealing with post traumatic stress disorder.


Our analytics monitor international media gathering all information regarding maritime security, terrorism and piracy. Acquired data is used in our teaching process and also in our weekly newsletter – Sea piracy, which is delivered to many ship-owners.
